Wingback chair in Islay Woolen Mill tweed

My client had requested a full re-upholster of their Wingback chair, that had been built by their father. It had seen many years of use and was in need of a new lease of life. My client had specifically requested the use of a woolen tweed, so we discussed the measurements and fabric needed to create the transformation wanted before starting work.

"I have had my armchair for over 20 years, the leather was looking very worn and I wanted to modernise the look. I wanted to use a sentimental tweed fabric and Cameron advised which materials would be hard wearing enough and how much to purchase. He advised on several different styles that would suit the chair. Cameron provided great communication from start to finish advising on all kind of materials whilst keeping to my budget. The completed chair was done to a very high finish and exceeded my expectations." - Debra
